What cat diet is best for a multiple cat home?

So I have two cats, one is morbidly obese, and the other one is where he should be weight wise. I tried a weight management cat food and instead of the cat that’s overweight losing weight, the cat that’s where he should be has started to lose weight. I started to give him some wet food as well to keep him from losing weight but the overweight cat still isn’t losing any weight. Is there anything I can do?

Feed them in separate rooms twice a day and pull the food up between meal times. I do agree canned food is a good option for both cats. It’s more like their natural diet – full of water and protein Otherwise a grain free dry food is the next best option. Diet foods are kind of scam. They’re filled with cheap fillers to make the cat feel full but are not the most nutritionally sound foods. Good luck!
