Sometimes, people who don't support animal testing work for companies that do. Celebrities are an example. But we all have to make a living somehow.

She has a website, why don';t you ask there? We are not Ellen and cannot speak for her or speculate on her intentions. My own guess is "it's all about the Benjamins" but it could be for any number of reasons ("legit" or otherwise) only she can really answer

hey, give her some slack. not everyone is perfect and she is doing her best with promoting veganism& vegetarian already. she is one of my motivation too.

It's likely she either signed the contract before becoming vegan, or she was unaware of the animal testing taking place. I'm sure that she is aware of the hypocrisy now and hopefully will not renew her contract in the future.

Unknown. She is also part owner of a pet food company, Halo, that includes in its ingredients, salmon, beef, lamb, and chicken. Maybe these were commitments made prior to her going vegan? You would have to ask her. Celebrities are not the place to look for role models. There are dollar signs sandwiching each and every one of them. People can argue many things regarding animal testing for medical purposes, but it's especially horrible to perform cruel experiments for vanity.
