@RudraHanuman – I have a rottie, and the only time he gets really drooly is in the car. HIs lips are a little more wet than my German Shepherd’s, but I wouldn’t call him drooly by any standard. I have no idea about a pit.

@CantHoldDownLeeFan13 – It originated because the Rottweiler used to be guard dogs at machinery plants. Their tails would get caught in the machinery, so people would dock them when they were puppies to prevent that from happening. It became a breed standard along the way.

the first question asked was how can rotts be so nice and some be so vicious. dogs vary just like humans they have different personalities even if they aren’t as complex as us along with their upbringing,owners, enviroment,etc.

@sara9896 I think they’re excellent in terms of survival. On the other hand, the Chihuahua would most likely die/be extinct in a natural animal environment. Our environment (which they live in) spoils them.

I had one of these …
I had one of these mixed with chow or border collie and it was a great dog. very easy to train. very loyal turned on me . growled at me once at maybe 2 months old over food and I nipped that in the bud

too many people …
too many people hate the most lovable creature, because a PERSON failed to parent their dog to not do such things.
The only pets i have ever had have been rottweilers, and everyone who has met them have never had issues with them, and that will never change
