Cheeko is doing awesome at his home in kamloops, he will be 4 years old this May!!! There are a couple newer videos of him from christmas time in my page. Just him doing usual stuff, no tricks or anything fancy. Thanks for watching, and remember crows are hard work to look after and not a good choice of companion for people who can’t be home all the time to keep them company!

So i just thought i’d provide an update. Cheeko is almost 3 now, and he is well and happy, living with my parents. This video is really old. before you ask questions please check to make sure it wasn’t already answered either in comments or in the description. I will summarize the F.A.Q.
1) He was raised on soggy dog food, but he eats everything now
2) he goes outside, he has a cage that is always open, he roams free in the house.
3) His wings are not clipped, they are fully grown now
4) His toenails are clipped regularily now
5) He was a nestling when found, which means unable to walk or fly. He was NOT a fledgling. I am well aware of the differences!
*april 4th 08* here is an update. as mentioned previously, cheekos wings are not clipped. this video is well over a year old now and his wings have grown in. thanks to all for your comments and support. please feel free to message me and ask questions, i try and reply as fast as i can! thanks a lot! =D

i have to say this, as it really makes me angry. IF you feel the need to critize me, and my choice in SAVING THIS BIRDS LIFE, please read everything there is to know, get your facts straight BEFORE you try and tell me im doing something illegal. The first bird I owned, named bart, we took in to the wildlife sanctuary. This is exactly what they told us, “I’m not supposed to tell you this, but if we take this bird, the other animals will just ‘destroy’ it (kill it)” they then told us to feed him soggy dog food. i wouldnt have put a video out like this if i knew it was illegal. NOT TO MENTION, I LIVE IN CANADA. everything i have heard about owning a bird native to the land is in the UNITED STATES where it is ILLEGAL to raise a bird NATIVE TO THE STATE. i repeat, i LIVE IN CANADA. if you can find something that states that is illegal, then go right ahed, but keep in mind what the bird sanctuary told us before you tell me i am wrong.
*October 19th 07* UPDATE!! I FOUND OUT HOW TO WORK MY CAMERA! more videos of cheeko in action WILL be on the way. I have a test video being accepted right now (the batteries on my camera were dying) but anyways NOW I PROMISE I WILL GET SOMETHING INTERESTING OUT THERE!! Thanks again EVERYONE for all your support and GOOD FEEDBACK! it really was just an experiment getting him out there and i love how it turned out… so i will continue.. BLA BLA BLA!!! =D
*september 8th 07* Thanks again everyone for all the comments, STILL even tho this video is pretty darn old now. just wanted everyone to know that CHEEKO HAS FULL WINGS NOW and he is learning how to glide!! he doesn’t fall straight to the floor anymore. he also doesnt have tail feathers yet but with his full wings he looks like a healthy full-sized crow!!
thought i would share that with everyone just so you all know that i dont abuse him and he isn’t gimped. i really want to try to get some more stuff of him up… but in the meantime you can all seek comfort in the fact that he is going greater than ever =D
thanks again everyone!
*june 25th 07* This is my crow Cheeko. I found him one day on my way to singing lessons. He was on the side of the road, fallen out of his nest, parents nowhere near, and we were stopped at a stop light so I got out of the car and snatched him.
We have had him for a year now and suspect that he is about a year and a month+ old.
yes, his feathers are really shabby. no we do not abuse him.
we are working on fixing that right now by feeding him a better mushy dog food with more vitamins in it. hes growing a few long feathers so we will wait to see what happens.
Cheeko does not live in a cage, he walks freely around our house, but his favorite spot is on someones shoulder or on the back of one of the kitchen chairs.
yes, there is bird poop, but we deal with it.
Thankyou everyone who has been adding this to favorites, and thanks for all the views and comments!!
i didnt expect to get that many, its awesome.
